Percy Jackson

  1. Good idea to post photos it really shows the comparison between the books version of Percy Jackson and Hollywood’s big screen version of him. In the book he is portrayed as a 12 year old boy but in the big screen production of it he is 17! The large difference can surprise the viewer if they have read the book. In my opinion I don’t really mind because I think if he was 12 that he would be a lot more immature. That's why I think the producers chose an older actor.

  2. I agree Nick. If the producers would have chosen a 12 year old to play the part, the movie would not have had the same feel. Even in the book i don't think of him as being 12, he is a very mature 12 year old! Most 12 year olds aren't as brave or disrespectful as he is in the story. Even when i read it i picture him as about 15. Good point though Nick.
